　　1.New chapter. The third edition includes an entirely new chapter titled "Management Concepts." It discusses enterprise risk management, business process management, and expectancy theory, giving the third edition an interdisciplinary lens for considering AIS topics.

　　2.Flowcharting. The chapter on flowcharting has been updated and revised to make the process more understandable for students. I am deeply indebted to Dr. Kathy Hurtt of Baylor University for helping me focus my thinking on this important topic. (And, in case you were wondering, she’s not related to me.)

　　5.Multiple choice questions. Every chapter now includes two sets of multiple choice questions. The first, titled "Multiple Choice Review," appears early in the end-of-chapter materials; answers to the multiple choice review questions can be found near the end of the text.
